More about Link QR Codes
1. Can I use a Link QR Code to open any website?
Yes! You can link to any valid HTTPS address—whether it’s your homepage, a product page, blog post, Google Form, or YouTube video. Just make sure the site is accessible and mobile-friendly.
2. Can I use a Link QR Code offline?
QR Codes can be scanned offline, but to open a link, the user’s device must be connected to the internet. Without internet, the QR Code will not be able to load the destination.
3. Can I track clicks or scans of my Link QR Code?
If you use a Dynamic QR Code with link tracking (such as our PRO version), yes—you can monitor scan data including number of scans, locations, devices, and more. Static link QR Codes do not support analytics.
4. Can I change the URL after creating the QR Code?
Not with a static QR Code. However, Dynamic QR Codes allow you to edit the destination URL even after printing or sharing. This is useful for updating campaigns or fixing errors without having to reprint materials.
5. Is it safe to use Link QR Codes?
Yes, as long as you are linking to a trusted website. Avoid redirecting users to unknown or malicious links. Always verify the domain and make sure your content is secure (uses HTTPS).
6. Can I use a shortened URL inside a QR Code?
Yes, but we recommend using our built-in link shortener for better readability, redirection speed, and tracking. Some third-party shorteners may be blocked by certain networks.
7. Does the QR Code need to include https:// in the input?
No, we automatically append "https://" if it's missing. You can simply enter "www.example.com" and we’ll handle the rest to ensure the link is valid and scannable.
8. Can I use Link QR Codes in printed materials?
Absolutely! Link QR Codes are perfect for business cards, flyers, posters, brochures, product packaging, magazines, and more. Make sure the code is large enough to be scanned easily.
9. How long do Link QR Codes last?
Static Link QR Codes last forever and never expire. Dynamic ones may have expiration dates depending on your subscription plan or usage limits.
10. What are best practices when designing a Link QR Code?
Use high contrast (dark code on light background), leave quiet space around the QR Code, and test it on different devices. Avoid over-customization that could interfere with scanning.
