An aesthetic clinic runs on trust. The client wants to know which procedure is right for her, see real results from other clients, and book an appointment without endlessly sending DMs and waiting for a reply. But an inbox flooded with Instagram messages, the difficulty of showcasing a before/after portfolio, and the lack of a clear loyalty program all block growth.
A well-placed QR Code solves all of that at once. In the treatment room, at reception, on the business card, and in stories, the client scans and lands directly on the WhatsApp booking link, the portfolio, the post-procedure instructions, or the package program — without you having to respond to each message manually. This article shows how to set up that structure.
What to put behind the QR
You can use one QR per goal or a link-in-bio page that brings everything together:
📅 Booking via WhatsApp
QR → WhatsApp with a ready-made message: "Hi! I'd like to schedule a procedure." The client doesn't need to type a thing. You receive the contact directly, no middleman, and already know she's ready to book.
📸 Before and after portfolio
QR in the treatment room or at reception → Instagram or a dedicated album with real results. The client sees the work while waiting or right after the procedure. It builds confidence and reduces doubts. Remember: show real results without promising a specific clinical outcome — every body reacts differently.
🎁 Loyalty and packages
"Buy 5 skin-cleansing sessions, get 1 free." A QR that leads to the package description, price table, or a digital loyalty record. Turns one-time clients into repeat clients. See how loyalty via QR Code works.
📋 Post-procedure instructions
QR in the treatment room or on the exit sheet → page with post-procedure care (hydration, sunscreen, what to avoid). Reduces WhatsApp questions and projects professionalism.
⭐ Google review
Right after the appointment is the best time to ask for a review. QR at the exit counter or on the thank-you card: "Did you enjoy it? Leave a 5-star review." See the guide on QR Codes for Google reviews.
The combo: link-in-bio
Instead of five different QR Codes, create a link-in-bio with all destinations: booking, portfolio, packages, post-procedure instructions, and review. One QR for everything. The client picks what she needs at the moment. See the complete link-in-bio guide.
Why dynamic makes a difference
With a dynamic QR you can:
- Change the destination without reprinting — switched booking systems? Update the link and the printed QR keeps working
- Track how many people scanned and at which point (reception, treatment room, stories)
- Know which procedure attracts the most interest if you use different QR Codes per campaign
Without dynamic, every link change means a new print run. Compare in the dynamic vs. static QR guide.
Where to place them in the clinic
🛋️ Treatment room
The client spends between 30 minutes and 1 hour there. A QR "Explore our packages" or "See more results" on the ceiling or the wall captures attention at exactly the right moment.
🪧 Reception and exit counter
At reception: booking QR for clients who haven't scheduled their next appointment yet. At the exit counter: review QR and post-procedure instructions.
💳 Business card and brochure
QR on the business card leads to instant booking. QR on the procedure brochure leads to the portfolio or an explanation page. See tips on QR on business cards.
📱 Instagram Stories
QR in "Click here to book" stories — whoever sees it on mobile can scan or tap the link. See QR in Instagram Stories.
Ethical note
QR Code is a communication and scheduling tool, not a promise of results. Do not use the links to guarantee specific aesthetic effects. Show a real portfolio with clear context, describe procedures honestly, and leave the clinical assessment for the in-person appointment.
This is especially relevant for procedures such as facial harmonisation, laser, and body treatments: the QR delivers information; the client decides with full awareness.
Common mistakes
❌ QR that leads to an unorganised Instagram portfolio
If the feed mixes personal stories, random tips, and client results without any organisation, the impression drops. Before pointing a QR at the portfolio, make sure the gallery is convincing.
❌ WhatsApp without a ready-made message
The client lands on WhatsApp, doesn't know what to write, and closes it. Use a link with a pre-filled message: "Hi! I saw the clinic's QR Code and would like to know more about [procedure]."
❌ Small QR in the treatment room
If the client is lying down or seated, the QR needs to be large enough to scan from a distance. Follow the minimum size rule.
❌ Static QR for booking
Switched booking platforms? A static QR points to the old link — which may be offline. Use dynamic and update whenever needed.
❌ Using the same QR for everything, with no tracking
Without tracking, you don't know whether the client booked from the treatment room, the business card, or the stories. Use different QR Codes per location and measure. See trackable QR with UTM.
